The trailer for » Vegans taste better — first kill, then grill!» ‘ is quite amusing, but — especially for an FSK 18 title — admittedly rather harmless. But anyone who has already seen one or the other horror comedy can still imagine what awaits him or her in the full length of the feature film.
After «vegans taste better» just celebrated its German premiere in March/April as part of the Fantasy Filmfest Nights XL, the film will now be released on DVD and Blu-ray on May 27, 2022. And it will even be available as a stream from May 19, 2022.

This is what «Vegans taste better» is about
Vincent Pascal ( Fabric Eboué ) and his wife Sophie ( Marina Foïs ) have been running a small provincial butcher’s shop for almost their entire lives. Sophie stands at the checkout and takes care of the steadily aging regular customers, while Vincent cuts the carefully selected, high-quality meat with just as much dedication. However, not everything is going as harmoniously as it seems at first glance. In bed, Sophie only enjoys documentaries about serial killers, while Vincent regularly falls asleep on the couch with the always hungry Rottweiler Pépère in his arms.
But then one day a gang of militant vegan activists devastate their business and Vincent runs over one of the culprits in a fit of anger. Sophie suggests getting rid of the body in the manner of one of the protagonists in her favorite films. And so her husband chops up the body and wants to dispose of it along with leftover meat from the store. But a piece of it goes on sale and enjoys unexpected popularity among customers. From then on, the couple considered how they could get supplies as inconspicuously as possible…
