» Star Wars: Visions » is the best example of the diverse possibilities the «Star Wars» universe can offer if you don’t just return to the same old Skywalkers, Solos and Kenobis, but also give visionary artists the chance to let off steam creatively in the galaxy far, far away.
The previous nine episodes almost all amount to an epic lightsaber duel, but apart from that they could hardly be more different, which is why the following news should please everyone who wants more variety in the space saga: «Star Wars: Visions» is getting a second season.

The announcement took place during a panel with the creators at the Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim, California. The author of these lines was there live when the good news was announced, and although «Visions» is one of the lesser-known «Star Wars» series, a whole crowd of fans gathered around the creators and speakers of the various episodes as they share their experiences.
«Star Wars: Visions»: That changes
At the very end of the panel, a second season (there it was called Volume 2) was announced and a major change to the first episodes was then immediately presented. Because instead of being produced exclusively by Japanese animation studios, the different episodes of Season 2 will be produced in different countries.
These include France, South Africa, Ireland, Great Britain, India, USA (California), Chile, Scotland, Spain, South Korea and Japan. This new strategy suggests we’ll see even more variety in season two.

Speaking at the celebration, producer James Waugh said, «I can guarantee you, ‘[The] ‘Star Wars’ anime combo has a bright future.» Whether he meant just ‘visions’ or even other ‘Star Wars’ anime projects are planned, but it is not clear from this. There is no start date for season 2 of «Star Wars: Visions» yet.
