Spider-Man: No Way Home is without question the biggest cinematic event since Avengers: Endgame. Not only did the meeting of Marvel characters from three Spidey universes inspire fans and critics (FILMSTARTS gave it an excellent 4.5 stars ), but Tom Holland and Co. also provided sensational results at the box office . With grossing $1.9 billion, No Way Home is now the sixth highest-grossing film of all time. In the USA, Canada and other still unknown countries, the MCU hit is coming back to the cinema — in an extended version called «Spider-Man: No Way Home — The More Fun Stuff Version».

The re-release was announced on the film’s official Twitter channel:
Will the new «Spider-Man» version also be in German cinemas?
It’s not quite clear yet where the «More Fun Stuff Version» of «No Way Home» will appear. In the above Twitter post, only the USA and Canada were initially confirmed, albeit with the note: «Other countries will be announced soon!» Hopefully, it will soon become clear whether Germany is among them.
What does the Marvel re-release offer?
According to Sony’s announcement, which was picked up by several US media outlets, the «More Fun Stuff Version» is an extended cut of the Marvel hit, in which additional scenes were added and existing scenes were lengthened.
However, there are no details as to which scenes are involved. It is quite possible that it is only about additions that have already made it onto the DVDs and Blu-rays as extras. However, there may also be previously unseen material. We will probably only get certainty about this in the cinema or — if this longer cut version does not come to Germany in this way — possibly only in another home cinema release.

After all, such an extended version is also a good way to boost DVD and Blu-ray sales, which is why we expect that German fans will sooner or later be able to enjoy the «More Fun Stuff Version» at least in this way will.
Spider-Man: No Way Home – The More Fun Stuff Version is set to hit theaters in North America on September 2, 2022.
