Even if no Marvel film triggered such euphoria in the last year, let millions of fans all over the world literally fall into ecstasy like » Spider-Man: No Way Home «, another not only surprised me far more, but all in all even better entertained: » Venom 2: Let There Be Carnage » — which I actually didn’t want to see after the weak predecessor. Because he had his moments, but in the end he bobbed around somewhere between indifference and irrelevance with his unbelievable love story and his miserable villain. Two of the numerous weaknesses that are passé in part 2.
«Venom 2: Let There Be Carnage» will be released on April 29, 2022 on Sky and Sky Ticket :

I highly recommend comic book fans to check it out even if you didn’t like Venom . The sequel is daring, flouts common genre conventions and even shoots scenes completely freely, entirely in favor of the fun factor. And if you don’t want a Sky or Sky ticket, no problem, because «Venom 2» has been available for home cinema since December 27, 2021:
›› «Venom 2» DVD, Blu-ray & 4K at Amazon *
›› «Venom 2* Limited 4K Steelbook at Amazon *
›› «Venom 2* at Amazon Prime Video *
The film is available in standard editions on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Blu-ray as well as a strictly limited collector’s edition Steelbook (including 4K). Whether as a stream or via physical data carrier: you can expect a particularly entertaining (anti-)hero firework far away from the usual MCU adventures, which are cranked down several times a year according to the same formula. Eddie Brock’s second appearance breaks this corset of conventions on several levels.
90 minutes comic spectacle: It works!
I’m a fan of big, sprawling stories of epic proportions that break the rules of cinema and take whatever time they need, whether it’s a four-hour superhero epic like Zack Snyder’s Justice League or the Argentinian art-house saga » La Flor » is the impressive 13.5 hours on the clock. What I’m not a fan of, however, is that it feels like every blockbuster now has to last over 120 minutes (or sometimes even much longer). As if it were impossible to tell a story in under two hours.
