But to classify the whole thing correctly: The fact that the relatively cheaply produced genre shocker, in contrast to the four blockbusters mentioned at the beginning, was not shown in the cinema certainly does not come from anywhere. The fifth in the bunch, «Psycho Goreman», underlines that this doesn’t have to detract from the sinister film pleasure.
This is Death Valley
At the center of «Death Valley» is a group of mercenaries who are ordered into the deepest jungle to free the bioengineer Chloe ( Kristen Kaster ) from her research laboratory. Ever since an experiment went wrong here, the facility has been besieged by the local military, who are trying by all means to get their hands on top-secret documents.
What none of them knows, however, is that a monstrous beast is up to mischief inside the laboratory, which has already killed the entire cast. Only Chloe is still alive — but why is she of all people spared?
