Murder in the Name of God is an adaptation of Jon Krakauer ‘s 2003 book of the same name (Original: Under The Banner Of Heaven: A Story Of Violent Faith) . Mormons Ron and Dan Lafferty (played by Sam Worthington and Wyatt Russell on the series ) in 1984. The two killers claimed to have acted on behalf of God when they killed their sister-in-law ( Daisy Edgar-Jones ) and their 15-month-old daughter.
