While ten minutes is a truly fair chance for any potential viewer to see a film for themselves, we can count the weakest chapter of Sony’s Spider-Man Universe to date, alongside the Tom Holland-starring «Spider-Man» adventures also the two «Venom» films belong, but only conditionally recommend.
«Morbius»: Generic, interchangeable, uninspired
The story of Dr. who suffered from a rare blood disease since childhood. Michael Morbius ( Jared Leto ), who has devoted his entire life to researching a cure that will eventually turn him into a vampire, has potential to bring a little gloom to the otherwise colorful and cheerful world of Marvel heroes in the cinema . And in fact, director Daniel Espinosa («Life») succeeds in establishing the newly minted bloodsucker as a thoroughly menacing killing machine — at least as far as the FSK 12 rating allows.

But the longer the film goes on, the more nonsensical the plot becomes and the more uninspired the action, which mutates into uncreative and soulless CGI mud in the final act. And yes, even Jared Leto remains amazingly pale (and not just on the outside).
The Oscar winner, who is wonderfully independent in films like “ Suicide Squad ” or “ House Of Gucci ”, should have pushed a little more on the tube here, too. Similar to Tom Hardy in “ Venom ”, that would have at least increased the fun factor, if not too much else fits together here…
