Arnold Schwarzenegger is one of the most popular Hollywood stars of all time, who won the hearts of film fans in the 80s with his testosterone-heavy action hits. But cult classics like «Terminator 1+2», «Total Recall», «Running Man» or «Last Action Hero» are still very popular today — so it’s no wonder that the studios make a special effort to rework them in 4K and let them shine in a completely new light. With » Red Sonja » follows another one from that squad.
As Studiocanal has just confirmed, the fantasy adventure starring Brigitte Nielsen and Arnold Schwarzenegger is getting its Ultra HD premiere. «Red Sonja» will be released in 4K for the first time on July 21, 2022 — as a limited Steelbook edition , which fans of the Styrian oak can already secure:

The new 4K restoration is thus celebrating its home cinema premiere – at the same time also on DVD and Blu-ray, which also come with the newly revised version (just with a worse resolution). But if you want to experience the Arnie classic in unprecedented quality, you should rather grab the 4K Blu-ray instead — and for another reason too: Many of Studiocanal’s strictly limited 4K premieres in Steelbooks were complete after a short time sold out.

It can be assumed that «Red Sonja» will also receive a standard 4K edition later, but it will probably be a while before then. Apart from that, the first edition in the steel book with the alternative cover is simply an eye-catcher.
