The heartbreaking love story between Charlie ( Joe Locke ) and Nick ( Kit Connor ) continues on Netflix. The streaming service has now revealed that a second and third season of Alice Oseman’s series Heartstopper is being produced based on her own comic series. This shows Netflix’s great confidence in the material. After all, despite its great popularity and enthusiastic response, even a second season could not necessarily be taken for granted.
It was a cause for concern that, despite all the excitement, «Heartstopper» never made it past fifth place in Netflix’s own Top 10 lists for English-language series. In addition, the streaming service is currently making cuts due to the drop in user numbers.
But now the future of the series is secured — and the stories for a sequel are already there. The first season covers only the plot of the first two comic books by Alice Oseman. However, your comic series already has two more volumes, which could then serve as a template for the second season. In addition, Volume 5 and Volume 6 have already been announced and are scheduled to be released in 2022. They should then form the template for Season 3.

The streaming service itself is currently struggling with some problems. After bad numbers, numerous employees were laid off and projects were scrapped. The current episode is about the Netflix crisis and how the quality of the streaming service has developed in recent years:
