» Stranger Things » Season 4 is set to be as big and epic as no other season of the popular Netflix mystery series has ever been. This was promised lavishly by series creators Matt and Ross Duffer, and the trailer seems to back it up. According to a Wall Street Journal report (via The Playlist ), this plan is also reflected in the production budget: The upcoming «Stranger Things» season is said to have cost around $30 million per episode.
So the total budget for Season 4, which consists of nine episodes, is a whopping $270 million. If Stranger Things were a movie, that would be enough to make it the 9th highest-priced movie of all time, just behind Star Wars Solo and Episode 9 (both $275 million). A comparison with other series is of course more meaningful.
