Netflix achieved a real hit with the live-action series » Fate: The Winx Saga «, based on an Italian animated fantasy series. The professional reviews might have been mixed at best, but subscribers still streamed the fairy adventures until the fiber optic cables glowed.
Four weeks after its debut, the service announced that 57 million of its customers had already tuned in to the series. Accordingly, a second season of the British-Italian real-life adaptation was ordered immediately. And instead of six episodes as in the first season, eight episodes were commissioned this time, which were then shot again in Ireland from July to October 2021.
As part of its «Geeked Week», Netflix has now announced an at least vague release date for season 2 with «Fall 2022». In addition, the starving fans were also given a so-called “first look” at a figure that was well known (and popular!) from the template, but was still left out in the first season of “The Winx Saga”.

If you want to bridge the waiting time with the animated series “ The Winx Club ”, on which “Fate: The Winx Saga” is based, you will find what you are looking for on Amazon Prime Video . Subscribers can stream the first five seasons there at no additional cost. For the episodes of the sixth and seventh season, however, there is an additional charge:

Or you can read Bloom’s Destiny, a paperback, Kindle, and audiobook adaptation of Ava Corrigan’s Fate: The Winx Saga. In addition to the series plot, this also offers some scenes and background information about the characters that were not seen in the Netflix episodes:

Flora is here!
As gigantic as the access numbers were, by no means all fans were completely enthusiastic. The creators had to take some criticism for casting the character Musa, who is clearly of East Asian descent in the original, with a white actress ( Elisha Applebaum ). The complete omission of the fairy character Flora, a Latina, caused no less of a stir.
At least the latter faux pas is now cleaned up with the new episodes. In the «First Look» video linked above, we only see a single scene — but it’s really something. Not only does tension build up at first when Terra ( Eliot Salt ) is obviously being watched in the forest by an unknown person who is hiding from her.
When Terra senses their presence and asks them to show themselves, things get emotional. After all, it is none other than Flora ( Paulina Chávez ) who wanted to play a trick on her. The two hug and laugh together. After all, they know each other very well — Flora is Terra’s cousin…
This is the cast of Season 2
In addition to the main characters established in the first season, played by Abigail Cowen as Bloom, Hannah van der Westhuysen as Stella, Precious Mustapha as Aisha, Elisha Applebaum as Musa and Eliot Salt as Terra, Season 2 will add some additional characters, with whom of course new cast members are also joining the series.
You have already seen Flora actress Paulina Chávez in the video above. Netflix subscribers already know the Texan from the teen comedy series Ashley Garcia: Genius In Love , in which she played the title role for two seasons.
Furthermore, Irishman Éanna Hardwicke , known from the feature film «Vivarium» and the thriller series «Smother» , was confirmed as Sebastian and newcomer Brandon Grace as Grey.
