In 2020, the AfD parliamentary group in the Bundestag criticized the fact that the party was portrayed as undemocratic in » And tomorrow the whole world » — a film that was subsidized with public funds. The right-wing populist party therefore felt alienated by «And tomorrow the whole world». Conversely, this does not mean that left-leaning viewers have it particularly easy with the film.
Today, May 5, 2021, «And tomorrow the whole world» will be broadcast on free TV for the first time: from 8:15 p.m. on ARTE or afterwards for a while in the ARTE media library .
Hopefully the film will get attention that it was unfortunately denied when it opened in cinemas at the end of October 2020, as the cinemas had to close again a few days later due to Corona. The film could now trigger a larger discussion on ARTE. The question is: Which means are permitted in the fight against the law and does violence also count?
A young woman joins Antifa
At the beginning of her jury studies, Luisa ( Mala Emde ) moves in with her best school friend Batte ( Luisa-Céline Gaffron ) in a left-wing autonomous community. She also comes into contact with Alfa ( Noah Saavedra ) and Lenor ( Tonio Schneider ), who advocate violence in the dispute with the law. When the three get possession of a cell phone belonging to a neo-Nazi, the stored data is used to plan a risky action against the participants in a «concerned citizens» march.
