French comedies are real cinema hits in Germany too. «Pretty best friends», «Monsieur Claude and his daughters» or «Welcome to the Sch’tis» are just a few examples. Why this is so is obvious: the humorous family and love stories often convey the special attitude towards life of our French neighbors, juggle with eccentric characters, show wonderful timing in terms of situational comedy and always manage to touch people.
With “ My Terribly Spoiled Family ”, the next French summer comedy will start in German cinemas on May 12, 2022. And the trailer shows very clearly that director Nicolas Cuche delivers exactly what most moviegoers would expect from the film: comedy bursting with energy, which ultimately also has one or two life lessons in store.
This is «My Terribly Spoiled Family»
At the center of the story are Philippe ( Artus ), Stella ( Camille Lou ) and Alexandre ( Louka Meliava ), who live a carefree and luxurious life thanks to the millions of their father Francis ( Gérard Jugnot ). But the successful businessman is fed up with his spoiled children and decides to bring them back down to earth:
So that his offspring can learn to stand on their own two feet, he pretends that he is broke and that the police are looking for him. Philippe, Stella and Alexandre now have to take responsibility for themselves for the first time in their lives and experience first-hand how difficult it can be to provide for themselves…
Director Nicolas Cuche, who has already staged the romantic comedy “ Luck on Detours ”, among other things, has secured one of the most popular contemporary French actors for his new film in Gérard Jugnot. Above all, his appearance as Clément Mathieau in the 2003 hit » The Children of Monsieur Mathieu » boosted Jugnot’s popularity again after he had already appeared in classics such as «Monsieur Klein», «The Tenant» or «A Clumsy» in the 1970s on the wrong track” was to be seen.
Long overdue home cinema comeback: This vampire cult film proves that horror can also be really fun!
