The no-holds-barred psychological horror Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer is as celebrated as it is controversial . In some countries, the dark, devastating film had problems with the protection of minors, so in Great Britain cuts were repeatedly demanded so that the horror thriller based on real events even got an 18+ rating. The film was temporarily banned in New Zealand. The FSK also initially had problems with «Henry — Portrait of a Serial Killer» and refused to release it, whereupon it ended up on the index.
In 2012, however, the nerve-wracking true crime material was re-examined and received an FSK from the age of 18 without any cuts. However, the home cinema editions that were released as a result have long since been sold out and are sometimes sold for horrendous prices on the used market. Now the label Turbine intervenes and brings «Henry — Portrait of a Serial Killer» uncut and restored back to home cinema!

Two UHD media books with identical content and different cover designs and one Blu-ray media book will be released . The UHD Mediabooks include «Henry — Portrait of a Serial Killer» on 4K Blu-ray and on regular Blu-ray, as well as a Blu-ray full of bonus material. Both UHD editions are limited to 750 copies each .
The Blu-ray media book is limited to 500 pieces and includes the two Blu-rays that are also included with the UHD editions. All three editions will be released on July 17, 2022 and will also include a booklet detailing the film’s censorship history.

Prompted by the confessions of real-life serial killer Henry Lee Lucas, who claimed to have committed over 600 murders, Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer centers on a low-key guy (» Guardians Of The Galaxy » scene thief Michael Rooker ) who keeps killing people while traveling across the United States. He stops briefly in Chicago, more precisely in the run-down apartment of his ex-prison buddy Otis ( Tom Towles ). It is there of all places that Otis’ younger sister Becky ( Tracy Arnold ) seeks refuge from her abusive husband and makes eyes at Henry…
