The so-called Arrowverse on the US broadcaster The CW is only a shadow of itself because numerous series have now ended or been canceled. Nevertheless, The CW continues to rely on formats from DC – and with “ Gotham Knights ” now has a new series in the starting blocks that is attracting attention simply because of its premise.
Because in «Gotham Knights» Batman is murdered, which is why Gotham City threatens to sink into chaos. In this situation, a motley crew of heroes must ensure order . Incidentally, the series shares this premise with the video game “Gotham Knights”, which will be released in 2022; otherwise, however, the two projects are unrelated.
While the video game focuses on four very prominent characters — namely Dick «Nightwing» Grayson, Barbara «Batgirl» Gordon, Tim «Robin» Drake and Jason «Red Hood» Todd — the cast in the Gotham Knights series is something more unusual:
Turner Hayes ( Oscar Morgan ), the adopted son of Bruce Wayne aka Batman, a character who does not exist in the comics
Stephanie Brown ( Anna Lore ), a hacker who also travels as Batgirl and Spoiler in the comics
Carrie Kelley aka Robin ( Navia Ziraili Robinson )
Duela ( Olivia Rose Keegan ), who is the daughter of an alternate version of Joker and Two-Face in the comics
Harper Row ( Fallon Smythe ), who becomes the heroine Bluebird in the comics
and her brother Cullen Row ( Tyler DiChiara )
As the trailer reveals, the team’s job is complicated by the fact that District Attorney Harvey Dent ( Misha Collins ) finds them all guilty of Bruce Wayne/Batman’s murder based on circumstantial evidence found at the scene. Pretty sure there is someone else behind it who wants to blame the Gotham Knights.

We will find out at some point in 2023 whether the six young heroes will succeed in proving their innocence and protecting Gotham. Parallel to the broadcast on The CW, «Gotham Knights» should then also be available in Germany as VoD, possibly will until then, however, an agreement was also reached with a streaming service.
