» The Last Son — Dead Or Alive » is set in the North American prairies at the end of the 19th century. This is where gunslinger Isaac LeMay ( Sam Worthington ) has been roaming around aimlessly for decades, working or killing for anyone who pays him, fathering children with prostitutes across the country.
The latter fact only becomes relevant for him when, after helping the army in a particularly brutal way to drive the Cheyenne tribe out of its hunting grounds, his chief put a curse on him. This says that he may be killed by one of his descendants.
LeMay takes the curse seriously and begins wiping out his many offspring. He only found out about Cal ( Machine Gun Kelly ), whom his mother ( Heather Graham ) gave up for adoption, by accident. The tricky father/son situation doesn’t get any easier when the officer Solomon ( Thomas Jane ) is hunting both men for mysterious motives…

Franchise and Hip-Hop Stars
The Last Son — Dead Or Alive is directed by Donnybrook director Tim Sutton . However, the biggest names associated with the film were in front of the camera: Sam Worthington, Thomas Jane, Heather Graham and rap star Machine Gun Kelly, who, like most of his acting appearances, goes by his real name Colson Baker.
Australian Worthington is world famous for starring in James Cameron’s Avatar, whose sequel Avatar 2: The Way Of Water hits theaters in December. Thomas Jane is best known for playing the title role in the 2004 motion picture adaptation of the brutal Marvel Comics The Punisher. He has also appeared in Boogie Nights, The Crow, Magnolia, and most recently the sci-fi series The Expanse, among others.
Heather Graham also played her most prominent role in «Boogie Nights». She has also starred in The Hangover, From Hell and of course Austin Powers.
Finally, Machine Gun Kelly is building up an increasingly remarkable filmography in addition to his music. After starting out with Nerve and the Netflix megahit Bird Box, he starred in the hard rocker biopic The Dirt, worked alongside Jamie Foxx in Project Power. and starred with his partner Megan Fox and Bruce Willis in Midnight In The Switchgrass. Most recently, MGK shot the Berlinale film “Taurus” – also under the guidance of Tim Sutton.
