With seven Oscar nominations, including Best Picture, «Belfast» is not only a drama that has been widely recognized by the film industry . The drama, which won the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay, is also a film that showed the general public that two prominent names are more diverse than you might have thought. For one thing, Fifty Shades star Jamie Dornan is seen in one of his best and most vibrant roles, so Belfast should help him further wash away the negative reputation of the hit adult saga.

«Belfast»: The personal way to the Oscar record
Inspired by Kenneth Branagh, the nine-year-old boy Buddy ( Jude Hill ) grows up in Belfast at a complicated time: his parents (Jamie Dornan and Caitriona Balfe ) show him that the working class is a large, close-knit community. But at the same time, social unrest is spreading, tearing Catholics and Protestants apart, and the origins of which are not entirely clear to the child.
So he pieced together their meaning based on his film knowledge. That means: as a lonely hero he has to protect his grandparents ( Ciarán Hinds and Judi Dench ) and confess his feelings to his great love ( Lara McDonnell ). Then everything will be fine again — right..?!
